ting a house or apartment can be an easy thing to do if you have the money to pay for the rent,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], utilities, and other things you may need to fill the space with furniture. If you have a parent or someone who can co-sign for you or if you are old enough and have credit built, then it should not be a problem. Owning a house on the other hand is a lot more responsibility than people may think. You have to work your way up to it just like you have to work your way up for a job. Once you build credit and can afford a large down payment on a house, you can start looking for homes in your area or homes for sale in a different neighborhood that you are interested in.
When we are little, we all think we will go to school and college and then buy a home and start a family. Unfortunately, this is not usually how things work. When you get out of college, you probably will not have a whole lot of cash saved up. Depending on where you lived whether you were on or off campus and if you had help from your parents or not, you may have some money or you may be broke, but that is okay because everyone is in the same position and once you get into your career, you will make money but you will have to start making loan payments. This is the time when it is very hard for people to manage an apartment let alone buy a house; it is just not realistic.
After you have been out of school for a few years and you have established your career, you may want to settle down and buy a house. It is something that is hard to do on your own but not impossible. If you do not plan to get married or are just not married yet, you may find that you want to just stick with an apartment because there is no point in having a big house for one person. If you are married and plan to have kids or already have kids, an apartment might be too cramped for you and when you have two incomes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it is much easier to purchase a house.
In order to be able to buy a home, you need to know that it will be different than renting a home or apartment. With apartments, you sign a lease which usually lasts one or two years and you can extend them if you want,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but you can back out when your lease is through. You cannot just quit with a house; it is a lot more complicated. If you plan on wanting to move around or travel a lot, do not go purchasing a house.
Owning a home takes dedication as well, you have to take care of the yard and all the little fixes. Unlike with a rental, you do not have a landlord to cover costs of repairs and lawn care.
